The scale of MetroLink and its significance to the Irish economy means we are committed to taking an inclusive and collaborative approach to supply chain engagement. This means working with partners and stakeholders to ensure that SMEs are made aware of opportunities and can draw on relevant support to ensure they are contract-ready.
At the heart of our approach is transparency and MetroLink is committed to fostering strong partnerships between SMEs and local businesses. We will introduce an ‘Opportunity Portal’ which will require our main contractors to publish tender opportunities and will allow relevant companies to express an interest. The approach, a first for Ireland, will give the supply chain and SMEs in particular a clear line of site to contracts on the MetroLink project.
We will supplement the portal with meet the buyer events and all the relevant information businesses need to know to be able to join the supply chain.
We will publish more information about the Portal and how SMEs can get involved over the coming months. If you would like to keep informed, please register your interest in news and updates.
MetroLink is principally responsible for and overseeing the delivery of the programme, but it is our contractors who will deliver works on the ground.
As such, opportunities for local businesses to get involved will most likely arise through our Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction partners.
To help you understand where your business might fit within the wider delivery model, the diagram below illustrates the structure of our supply chain and the various levels of engagement.

This document provides practical guidance for businesses, regardless of their role or scale within the supply chain, on how to prepare and position themselves to take advantage of upcoming opportunities.
The guide also sets out MetroLink’s strategic goals, procurement objectives and introduces the Tier 1 construction work packages.
In September 2025 we commenced a series of Market Engagement events across the EU and UK. This engagement will continue until packages are issued for procurement. For more information click here.
